How Does the TikTok Creator Marketplace Work? (+ How to Join)

Depending on whether you're a brand or creator, the TikTok Creator Marketplace will work slightly differently.

Here’s how to join:

How TikTok's Creator Marketplace Works for Brands

Step #1: Head to the TikTok Creator Marketplace and set up your account. You can also join through TikTok’s Ad Manager if you are already set up.

Step #2: Browse creators by location, category, number of views, reach, and followers.

Step #3: As you find creators you’re interested in, select “Add to list” to keep your top creators in one spot.

Step #4: Select “Create campaign” and fill out any necessary details including your brand name, the product or service you’re advertising, your industry, and the campaign name.

Step #5: Reach out to your shortlist of creators with a provided template or write your own. Make sure you include all necessary information in this message as the marketplace does not have a chat feature.

Step #6: Once the content is reviewed, approved, and goes live, you can view insights and process payment within the platform.

How TikTok's Creator Marketplace Works for Creators

Step #1: Join the Creator Marketplace by scanning this QR code and wait to get accepted by TikTok.

Step #2: Head to “Creator tools”, select “Creator Marketplace”, and tap “Profile”. TikTok recommends setting a starting rate for sponsored videos.

Step #3: Wait for the collaborations to roll in! You can find brand invites in your notification inbox. Feel free to negotiate rates and additional details.

Step #4: Once in agreement, it's time to create the content and send to the brand for approval.

Step #5: Post your deliverables. Once approved and complete, the brand will confirm, and payment will then be processed. TikTok Creator Marketplace Pay (TTCM Pay) can help facilitate the payment.

So, there you have it!

For small to medium-sized businesses, TikTok’s Creator Marketplace is a great way to access creators, build brand awareness, and drive traffic.

And for creators, it’s an opportunity to get discovered on TikTok, land partnerships, and monetize your content.

It's a win across the board.
